Guest mixologist Alex Ng from Hong Kong is dropping by HYDE at 53M this Thursday to introduce his new cocktail creation called "The NewBorn".
What's the big deal, you may ask?
Well, he's one of the finalists for Bacardi 's Legacy Cocktail Competition - which is a HUGE deal in the bartending world, because the winner's cocktail will have the honour of having it recorded as a classic cocktail by the company FOREVER.
Competitors don't just show up on competition day to get judged. Creating the cocktail & getting judged on that day is the easy part. Prior to "judgement day", these competitors need to dedicate months and months to "market" their cocktail to ensure that it is easily replicable, listed in menus and accepted by customers - which is why Alex Ng is actually on this his tour to do just that.
So go and be part of a (potential) historical cocktail in the making. :)
